Specializing in goat cheese, the Ruban bleu cheese house is the place to see how this fine, exquisite-tasting cheese is made, and why the most discerning gourmets are so fond of it. Follow your taste buds to Le Regianno, a restaurant that celebrates local flavours. Your guide will then bring you to the ancestral lands of the J.O Montpetit et fils vineyard, where a number of wine varieties have been grown for over a decade. THE BOULEVARD OF HIDDEN TREASURES

This cultural tour of old Vaudreuil starts at the Trestler house, a historical and (it is said) haunted house that was featured on Rencontres paranormales, the paranormal encounters show co-produced and hosted by Chantal Lacroix We hope you've scared up an appetite, because you're in for a memorable dining experience at the Villa d'Esté restaurant in the Château Vaudreuil and its magnificent view of the lake. Your next stop will be a feast for the eyes at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges regional museum, where you can discover the engravings of Richard Séguin and the sculptures of Denis Charrette, among other works.

GIANTS ON THE LANDSCAPE

Take a tour of the giant power plant at Beauharnois, one of the world’s largest, and admire the award-winning Art Deco architecture that makes it one of the jewels of Quebec's architectural heritage. Lunch will consist of a mouth-watering barbecue served in the rural setting of Hostellerie du Suroît. You will now have the energy to do some archaeological exploring on a prehistoric site 5,000 years old which doubles as an interpretation centre for local archaeology, with exhibits, digs, and a host of other organized activities at the Pointe-du-Buisson archaeological complex. This is one tour that will go down in history!

Express du Musée

Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, is a huge collection of some 150 items of railway rolling stock—one of North America’s largest exhibitions of this type. After marvelling at the trains, cars, tramways and all of the infrastructure that goes with them, you can actually try out some of the conveyances on site: miniature trains, steam locomotives and old-fashioned trams. Kids of all ages will love to take a little ride!
