Along the seaway, on both sides of Beauharnois Canal, the 70-km trail of the Parc régional de Beauharnois-Salaberry which includes 63 km of paved trail, is lined with many rest areas and observation and interpretation sites. On the other side of the St. Lawrence River, the 41-km paved Soulanges bike path follows the Soulanges Canal, passing through wooded areas and fields, from Pointe-des-Cascades to Rivière-Beaudette. Superb and unforgettable! You can access both trails by way of the ferry, the crossing at the dams, or the Saint-Timothée basin loop. No matter which trail you choose, you’ll enjoy a lovely, picturesque ride.

Parc régional de Beauharnois-Salaberry

Part of the Route Verte, a multi-use 70-km trail, of which 63 km is paved, bordering the shores of the Beauharnois Canal and traversing the beautiful farm lands of Beauharnois, Saint-Étienne-de-Beauharnois and Sainte-Martine. Located in a picturesque setting combining waterfront and rural landscapes, the trail is lined with many rest areas, observation and interpretation sites, and is accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by car. Some sites are only a few steps away from the parking areas. Flat trail.

Soulanges bike path

A 41-km multi-use fully paved bike, bordering the Soulanges Canal, traversing wooded areas and fields from Pointe-des-Cascades to Rivière-Beaudette. Rest areas and parking lots are available along the path. Bike patrollers on duty.

Open: Open year round for walking and from April to October for cycling and rollerblading.

The Saint-Timothée basin loop

This 7.3 km path is located right in the middle of the St-Lawrence. The bike path runs over the islands and dams of the Hydro-Québec basin, linking the Parc régional des Îles Saint-Timothée beach and the Les Cèdres-Salaberry-de-Valleyfield ferry. Access by the bike from the Soulanges bike path, by maritime shuttle and the Parc régional des îles Saint-Timothée.
